Cockpit: Andrew Crowhurst (NZNE, New Zealand)

Andrew Crowhurst built this cockpit to help with his training for his pilot licence.  It is set up for a twin engine, which is what he flies mostly now.

Project Notes:
I built this simulator to help with my training to get my Pilot’s licence, which I now have.

Cockpit is set up for a twin engine, which is what I fly mostly now.

The rig is an overclocked Rampage 4 Extreme motherboard and CPU running at 4.7ghz. Display is 4x 27” monitors in an ATI eyefinity configuration to provide single screen.

Two 7” touchscreen monitors are used for GPS and TCAS.

Dual Yokes and Rudders so I can fly as Pilot or Co-pilot.

A total of 36 Saitek components, including a number of self built custom panels (e,g twin magnetos, fuel
selectors). Intend to push FIPs out to 24 and have 4 units on the Co-pilot side.

My gauges are adaptions of Tom’s, others I have found on the Internet and some I developed from scratch.

All are using full FIP screen real estate.  I also have use the battery bool command to turn the indicator lights off on the gauges that have those when the battery is not on.

I have a couple of FIPs that have ghost images so they are going to go through your procedure to correct that soon.
