480: G5 PFD Attitude Indicator Update

A friend, Christian, recently told me that he was confused by the movement of the attitude indicator arc and triangle above it on the Generic G5 PFD.   He asked if it is possible to modify the attitude indicator like the real Garmin G5 does as shown in the image on the right below, so that the arc and the triangle above it move with the horizon and have the lower triangle stay in relation to the plane.
I fully understand his frustration as I sometimes got confused as well.

Actually when I developed the instrument, I did aim to implement the attitude indicator as the Garmin G5 does.   However, the way how the image rendered at that time wasn’t ideal.  So I gave it up for the attitude indicator style found on the larger airliner, B737.

Thanks to Christian who asks me thinking the possibility again.   Now the Generic G5 PFD has updated with the genuine Garmin G5 style attitude indicator.

In addition to codes optimization, there are extra features added to the PFD for the better matching with the associated Generic G5 HSI.

Download link will be sent to existing users within the next few hours.   Should any one not receiving it by tomorrow, please contact me by email.

Lastly, this Generic G5 PFD is the first instrument equipped with the new trio-installer that is not only good for systems using Saitek or SPAD.neXt FIP drivers, but also the Logitech version.
