Although both FSX/P3D and X-Plane 11 comes with the BeechCraft Baron 58, their cockpit instruments, operations and features are not exactly the same. One
of these differences is the ability to select different HSI sources in X-Plane, which the FSX/P3D B58, including the Carenada version, doesn’t have.
The selection feature has been added to the XPL B58 HSI Gauge, on which users can now choose from NAV1 (VOR1), NAV2 (VOR2) and GPS as needed for course deviation indications. Following is a video showing how the HSI works when the selection source is changed.
To make it easier for users to differentiate which source is being used, a corresponding label will be displayed automatically on the top left corner on the FIP when VOR2 or GPS is selected. No display for VOR1 (NAV1) by default.
Existing users of the the XPL B58 HSI gauge should have received the download link for this update in their mailboxes by now. If not, contact me by email or via the Comment Section below.
