The Carenado CT210M is one of my favorite aircraft and it actually was the first third-party aircraft I ever purchased for flight simulation many years ago.
Nevertheless, I had felt something wrong about its cockpit instrument but I couldn’t figure out what it was until recently when I was asked to worked on the X-Plane version of the ASI Gauge for Logitech’s Flight Instrument Panels (FIPs).
It is the miles per hour markings on the ASI,
which are wrongly positioned as having higher (faster) values than the airspeed in knots — 40 knots equal to 46.03 mph, rather than 30 something mph as shown on the instrument.
The mistake is not only found on the FSX/P3D version of the CT210M but it is also carried onto the recently released X-Plane version. Obviously we are accustomed to focus on the key unit of measurement being used rather than the auxiliaries.
The R1r01 version of the CT210M ASI has been revised accordingly. And the back-plate of the gauge is also modified to match closer to the one in the virtual cockpit, in addition to some optimizations applied.
Users of the ASI should have received the download link for the update in their mailboxes by now. If not, check the spam folder or contact me via Comment section below or via direct email.
