In the last few months, I’ve been repeatedly wondering if I should upgrade my computer, although the 3-years-old Intel 8-core 11th generation i9-11900K CPU, together with the nVidia RTX3080Ti graphics card and 64GB memory, does give me a stable and satisfying MSFS performance (from 40 something to 70 something fps) in general.
Instead of pondering out of nothing, I recalled the UserBenchmark utility I referenced before. The followings are the results I got in the past weekend:

No doubt, my hardware are not the latest. But I am glad to see that the results are still pretty good to my eyes: rank 71 in performance and 83% in value comparing to 8,242 similar systems so-far tested, especially it got a 213% Gaming benchmark score.
Truly the 14900K is 28% better in performance.

But after considering the cost of the CPU alone is double my 11900K, not to mention newer motherboard, memory and other peripherals needed to run it, I’d better hold my intention for another year or two until the release of 15900K or RTX5080.
Or at least wait until how my system goes with the MSFS2024 after middle of this year.
A wild thought, will the Xbox console be a good alternative? It’s just $499.99.
