In the good old days of FSX and P3D, FSUIPC by Dowson was a mandatory component for the running of FIP Gauges. This is no longer the case with FS2020 and FS2024.

However, I continue keeping it in my system because it is undoubtedly a powerful plugin with a wide range of features for flight simulation configurations.
Recently, I decided to uninstall it because I rarely use it in flightsimming. Besides, I wanted to see if I could get some benefits out of it.
Unsurprisingly, I couldn’t tell if there was any FPS or performance improvement after removing it.
However, I did sense that my system, which previously would stutter once or twice every two or three minutes, now seemed to lag slightly.
Is this purely psychological? I don’t know. Even so, I guess it still deserves to be called a benefit from “less is more”.
