Following is a quick image comparison of two addons that help me reducing oversized trees in MSFS2024.   The freeware, Forest Enhancement Mod by badnick578, was downloaded from Flightsim.to.   The paid one, Smaller Trees Pro by 4Simmers, was purchased directly from the simulator store.

Generally, both addons achieve the goal of shortening vegetations in MSFS2024 without compromising performance.

Personally, the winner goes to Smaller Trees Pro because it

• doesn’t reduce the density of vegetations defined by users;
• looks more aesthetically pleasing around cities and buildings; &
• provides a better balanced color tone overall.

The downside is I need to pay some bucks for it.

By the way, using them together won’t bring extra benefits.  The result is the same as using the Forest Enhancement Mod alone.

Also, NEITHER addon can remove inappropriately growing trees at either end of a runway.  Dedicated airport mod is still required.
