Here are three video clips showing how MSFS2024 SU4 Beta (1.6.16.0) performs with the graphics settings I listed in Post 900.
Due to post-production needs, I used Steam’s built-in feature for video recordings. However, once the function was enabled, system performance was immediately affected, dropping by at least 10 fps and very often causing the fps info panel to change from green to red.
In addition, since the recorded files are stored in m4s format, they must first be converted into mp4 before they can be uploaded and played by common video players.
Unfortunately, this conversion process also degrades video quality and introduces lags and stuttering during playback, especially when the camera is panning in the video.
While playing in the real sim, these issues seldom occur, and I can typically get a smooth and stutter-free performance with around 80 to 130 fps in general.
Are these results top-notch ? Certainly not.
But I couldn’t be happier in achieving them with just some mid-range hardware.
