After nearly two years, my ReShade settings for FS2020 have been slightly changed based on the color tone of FS2024 as follows:

880: An Enhancement Shouldn’t be Missed
One of the most criticized issues with MSFS2020 is that the trees are oversized and don’t look realistic. There are many different solutions out there. For example, I’ve been using the “Short Height” Vegetation setting in REX AccuSeason Advanced Edition to deal with the issue. It does help a little, but the results are still not ideal.
Until recently, I found an addon in Flightsim.to called “Shorter Trees and Improved Density” by YankeeMike01. I was surprised to find out that it almost perfectly solves the problem of unrealistic oversized trees in MSFS, at least in my case.

879: MSFS UnAssigned Keyboard Keys
Have you ever encountered a situation in which you need to create some Hotkeys for specific actions or custom controls for hardware peripherals? But then you suddenly realize that you have no idea which keys or keyboard combos are available.
Here come at last a complete listing of the UnAssigned Keyboard Keys that I have been wanting to put them together for a long time for references:

877: Aimxyz with MSFS Videos
Here are two short videos to share with those who are interested to find out how my newly purchased wireless and attachment-free eye-tracking device AimxyZ are working with FS2020 and FS2024 in my system.
This is with FS2020
875: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG error
Still full of frustration when playing the buggy FS2024.
About a month ago, I started getting the DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG (0x887a0006) error when loading some airports I frequently visited in the past.
The notorious error was reported by many players. Although there are many suggestions for the issue, such as changing the values of some specific registries, etc, none of them helps in my case.
What I am doing now to Continue reading
874: Stream Deck Profiles for FS2020 & FS2024
Despite the differences between FS2020 and FS2024, I am currently using the same profile set of my Stream Deck XL for both simulators.
From the Stream Deck profiles I was describing in Post 846, I set to load a home page called MSFS_INFO_C172 automatically when FS2020 is run.
In order to load the same profile set for FS2024, what I did was to duplicate the same home page and rename it as MSFS_INFO_C172_FS2024, and then assoicate the new page with FlightSimulator2024.exe.

873: FS2020 has Beta too
In case you are not aware, MSFS (FS2020) has Beta as well. It is Sim_Update 15.
Haven’t found any new features from the Beta but the performance is a little better than the latest official version in my case.
Due to my computer structure, there are occasional stutters happened while running MSFS. With the Beta, stutters are lesser and there are a few framerates increased in places where I usually fly.
Recommend all MSFS users to run or try this Beta version as Continue reading
853: Two BKSQ Analog Baron Gauges Released
Developer Black Square has made over some analog gauges for MSFS aircraft using glass cockpit panels. One of them is the widely flown Beechcraft B58.
Actually I was not aware of it at all until a friend, Andrea, in Italy who asked me if I could make the FIP gauges for it about a month ago. And he was so kind to sponsor me the aircraft for checking before I could confirm him if the project was feasible.
So here’s the Airspeed Indicator (ASI) and the Engine Pack tailor-made for the Black Square Analog Baron.
And in particular, as the Black Square Baron comes with both a standard and a pressurized version of the aircraft, corresponding FIP gauges Continue reading
852: BKSQ Duke Shared Altimeter Released
Hybrid-style instruments are always my favorites
as they not only look nicer but also provide more references. The new Altimeter for the Black Square (BKSQ) Dukes is one of them, which, in fact, is not only good for the B60 Piston, Grand and Turbine Dukes, but also can be used on all other MSFS aircraft.
Two versions were created for the instrument. The Clean Version on the left Continue reading
