753: New Multi-Shared Gauges

Two new Multi-Shared Gauges are added to the FIP collection for the MSFS default airplane lines. MSFS_MS_MFP_JPG_resize

The first one is the Manifold Pressure-Fuel Flow combo that is used on the Aviat Pitts Special S2S and Robin Cap 10C.

The second is the gMeter, which comes with three different versions to suit the variation in style of the instrument on the Aviat Pitts Special S1S, S2S, Robin Cap 10C and Extra 330LT.MSFS_MS_GMTR
The instrument is found on some of the aircraft (standard & custom) in the Reno package as well.

752: KB5007262 crashes MSFS

WARNING:
If you are running Windows 11, be careful with the recent Cumulative Update (KB5007262).
Win11-Update
My MSFS crashed to desktop after 5 to 10 minutes running.

I can confirm that on my system since I experienced the same situation twice in the last few days.

The first time was last Friday, Continue reading

751: MY SU7 GRAPHICS SETTING UPDATE

My graphics setting in MSFS has been changed accordingly to the recent SU7 and Game of the Year (GOTY) update.  Improvements are seen in general.GOTY_resize
Regarding the highly anticipated DX12, although the overall image quality with the new feature is enhanced and refined, and framerate seems affected very little only; unfortunately, it does brings frequent micro-stutters in many locations.  So DX11 is kept to be my choice. Continue reading

750: Ground Speed Display Fix

After the recent MSFS update, the Ground Speed Display on my MSFS FIP gauges no longer works. There are 3 types of instrument affected:

ASI Extended Versions of ALL aircraft
– Generic G5 HSI
– Generic G5 PFD

To fix the issue, one simply needs to change a command from
(A:GPS GROUND SPEED, knots) to (A:GPS GROUND SPEED) in the affected gauges.

Here’s how to do it: Continue reading

749: CubeSim TPR Damper Kit REVIEW

I’ve been a bit lazy doing anything these days except playing MSFS occasionally.  Yesterday, I got some excitments — the damper kit for my Thrustmaster TPR Rudders finally arrived after nearly a month’s misplaced shipment.
TPR_Mod_01
The $65 damper kit from Cubesim in China includes one (1) damper stabilizer unit and four (4) 3D-printed clamping parts, along with necessary bolts & nuts to attach the unit to the TPR rudders.  The kit is non-destructive to the rudders.  The way how it implements is different from other similar products I’ve seen on the web. 748: Windows 11 – It’s Good

Just upgraded one of my computers to Windows 11 today.  I wouldn’t say it’s perfect.  But I am impressed !
Windows11_resizeFrankly, I was a bit hesitated since I heard pros and cons from the Internet.  So before the process, I backed up my whole system just in case something goes wrong.

Despite the Apple mac-like centered taskbar and new layout designs, all programs on my computer generally start a lot faster than what they are with Windows 10.

Both MSFS and X-Plane 11 start up a lot quicker.  They run smoother with some frame-rate improvements, too.    Continue reading

747: Multi-Shared ATT Updated

The adjustment of the artificial aircraft on the Multi-shared Attitude Indicator via the knobs on the FIP was inverted since the last few MSFS updates.

Just spotted the bug recently and have it corrected to R1r03 so as to match with the one in the virtual cockpit again.

Download Link have been sent to all users already. Continue reading

746: Landing Gear, Landing Gear

Have been revising many of my gauges lately.  Here’s another two of them which now come with enhanced landing gear indicators.

The first is the RPM of the Just Flight PA28R Arrow III and Turbo III/IV.  The new landing gear indicators on the left now take the comprehensive Gear Unsafe & Gear N-L-R style from the aircraft, rather than the simple one used on the right in the last version released in September, which took from the M20R.

The landing gear indicators on the Carenado M20R Engine Cluster also updated to simulate the up-down movements of the indicators on the aircraft as well.

In addition, Continue reading

745: C152/A ENG FUEL QTY CORRECTED

A new C152/A Engine Cluster user, Roland Duhme, just pointed out to me that the Fuel Quantity Indicators MSFS_C152_ENG_GIFSis unclear and incorrect on the Asobo airplane, which I carried forward to my gauge.

He said there’s no C152 has 100 LBS fuel capacity so the upper scale should be in percentage but there’s not a “%” mark for it.  In addition, the fuel quantity in GAL in the lower scale for the two tanks are 14 gallons each instead of 18 as show in the cockpit.

Good point.  Even though I realized the marking a bit strange when I was developing the gauge, I just put it is what it is in the C152/A Engine. Continue reading
