517: C172R and C172SP Annunciator Panel Released

The Annunciator Panels for the A2A C172R and default C172SP are now ready.  Below is a video capture of the panel added to the Compass on the A2A C172R.

Similar to the C172SP one previewed in Post 515, the C172R annunciator panel will only pop up when error warning lights or equipment status indications are turned on, so that it will not affect the design and functions of the Wet Compass as well as the overall layout of the FIP gauge setup.

However, since the contents and reactions of each annunciator panel Continue reading

451: Hidden Tachometer on A2A C172R

This morning I received an email from Paul Wasserman who asked me why the red line on my A2A C172R tachometer is set at 2,400 rpm, rather than 2,700 rpm as shown on his cockpit.   Looking at his photo, I was bewildered because I had never seen the gauge before; and it was the first time someone reported to me about this inconsistency.

In order to confirm that there were nothing I had missed, I re-downloaded, re-installed and re-updated the aircraft in the following hours.   “Without luck”, the result was the same — the red line is still at 2,400 rpm.   I really had my head scratched. Continue reading

383: A2A Aircraft 2D Cockpit No Sound Fix

TechLevel01W

A friend told me he heard no sound when flying A2A aircraft under 2D cockpit mode, and ask me if there’s a fix.   I believe there is information about it on A2A’s Support Forum.   Anyway, here’s the solution using C182T as an example.

  • Open panel.cfg file in the aircraft’s folder
  • Search for //gauge01=A2A_C182!cockpitBuilder, 2,2,2,2
  • Remove the comment marks “//” from the beginning of the line
  • And lastly save the file.

That will do.

Anyone interested in this A2A Cessna Gauge Set could click here or the image above for more information.

Current users of my C172SP gauges could contact me directly and inform me their requirements, either in bundle or individually, for discounts.

Will start working on the engine instrument for both aircrafts in earliest possible.   It may take a month or two before they are ready, however.

Again, SPAD.neXt is required to run these gauges properly.

376: A2A C172R & C182T Gauges Released

The summer break is over even though the heat is still lingering.   Actually, since early August, I’ve started working on the FIP Gauges for the A2A Simulations’ C172R and C182T, which have been frequently requested for quite some time.

And finally, here it is the first batch containing the seven main gauges:
A2A_CESSNA_B7

Although these gauges look similar to the C172SP ones, they were virtually reworked from scratch for finer details to better match the design on the C172R and C182T.

Coding of them, Continue reading
