Last week, I said I could finish the EIS project for the Carenado’s MSFS Pilatus PC12 by weekend. Things happened unexpectedly. Anyway, it’s now ready.

One thing worth noting: due to hardware and software limitations, the way how Carenado implements the ITT function on the PC12 is virtually impossible to be ported to the FIP directly. This causes misalignments between the values sent to the FIP and the ones shown on the virtual EIS.
Although the bug is unsolvable, the way the ITT performs, luckily, Continue reading
Here’s a video preview of the coming Engine Indication System (EIS) for the Carenado Pilatus PC12. There are still loose ends to tie up but hopefully it will be released in the next few days.
The Engine Indication System (EIS) for the C172-G1000 is now ready. It is the first of
a series of similar EIS being developed for different aircraft.
Existing owners of the C172-G1000 3-Gauge Pack and C172-G1000 with G5 Combo Set could contact me for a 25 and 50% discount off respectively. The offer is valid thru to the end of the year.
Here’s the link to the FIP store Continue reading
Here’s a video preview of the coming Engine Indication System (EIS) for the C172-G1000 to be released soon. It can also seamlessly replace the Engine Cluster on the C172 Classic version, especially when flying with the Generic G5 Gauges.
At present, all layout, structure and programming are completed, except a few more features to be tuned and decided.
This C172-G1000 EIS is the first Continue reading
The C172 Wet Compass+Annunciator (CMP+ANPL) FIP Gauge for MSFS has just been updated.
Function-wise, the update is of no difference to its earlier brothers.
Layout-wise, the sound panel, the OMI and NAV/GPS indicators of the new version are still situated at the bottom of the compass, and the annunciator panel will pop up under the compass window when triggered. It also comes with backlit.

However, the sizes of the sound panel, the OMI and NAV/GPS indicators on the new version have shrinked significantly and dimmed a little to give the overall compass+annunciator design a more balance and sleek appearance. In comparison, the earlier design looks a bit bulky.
Furthermore, Continue reading
After MSFS SU10 update, the NAV/GPS button on the C172 (above VOR1) won’t toggle the status between NAV and GPS on the VORs as well as on the GNS530/430.
To change the status of NAV and GPS on the VORs, one has to press the CDI buttons on the GNS530 and 430 in the virtual cockpit respectively.
Too bad, many times the C172 is always the one messed up by new updates.
I have a wet compass with Audio Panel and Annunciator made for the C172SP in FSX/P3D. However, it cannot be simply converted for MSFS because the Audio Panel on the MSFS C172, not only layouts but also programming codes, are different.
Thanks to a US friend Ross’s sponsorship, a new Wet Compass custom-made for the MSFS C172 has been developed accordingly.
The first video below shows the button operations for the Audio Panel, and the second video demonstrates the popping up of the Annunciator Panel when fuel is low and magneto is off.
The Engine Cluster for MSFS C172 has just been updated to R1r04.
In addition to overall accuracy adjustments and thicker needles for better viewing, the Oil Temperature scale, in particular, has been corrected to match with the one on the aircraft.
