675: XPL_GaugeSwitcher v11 Update

The XPL_GaugeSwitcher, which helps users running my Gauges under Logitech X-Plane plugins, has been updated to version 11. xpl_gsw_11

Besides new features, enhancements and optimizations, two ready-made Profiles for the B58 and C172SP are included to the new version so that users of these gauges can start flying with them immediately.

For those who are currently using the XPL_GaugeSwitcher with custom-made Profiles created already, no worry. Continue reading

550: GaugeSwitcher now Runs in X-Plane

To help users of my FIP gauges (who are using Logitech’s default drivers and/or plugins for FIP controls) to quickly switch among different FIP set-ups, such as from gauges specifically made for the Mooney Bravo to the gauges for Extra 300S, I developed two utilities — the GaugeSwitcher (for FSX/P3D) and the XPL_GaugeSwitcher (for X-Plane).

But unlike the FSX/P3D version that can be run at anytime despite the simulator is active or not, the X-Plane cousin was deliberately restricted to ONLY allow gauge switchings while X-Plane is not running.  This is due to huge memory usages in X-Plane, which could easily crash the system when unloading and reloading already-active plugins that also consumes a lot of memory, such as the Logitech X-Plane plugins together with the FIP gauges.

After more than a year since its launch, the updated XPL_GaugeSwitcher which doesn’t have the restriction is now available. Continue reading

497: Gauge-Switcher for X-Plane Plugins

An X-Plane version of the GaugeSwitcher is also developed for those who are using the Logitech X-Plane Plugins for my FSX Times Gauges.

It works similarly and can handle up to 60 FIP gauge setups for X-Plane as well.

The utility has been sent to all users of my XP_Logitech gauges by emails.   Should anyone who hasn’t received the download link in their mailboxes by now could Continue reading

496: Gauge-Switcher v8 Released

GaugeSwitcher is a handy program I developed a couple of years ago to help Saitek FIP Driver users to quickly switch between multiple FSX Times Gauges (say from C172SP to B58 to Mooney Bravo to RAS Duke or vice versa) to match with the aircraft being used or to be used in FSX, FSX-SE and P3D.

The utility was given to users of my Gauges once but stopped for some reasons.

Now, the utility is available again with many optimizations, including compatibility with both Saitek and Logitech Drivers, and Continue reading

374: GaugeSwitcher 7a Update

The GaugeSwitcher utility, which allows the quickly switching among different gauge setups without quitting the simulator, has been updated to version 7a.

One of the major enhancements to the version is: the pressing of [Esc] key before profile switching in previous versions is no longer required.

As the video shown above, users just need to:

  • Call up the GaugeSwitcher during a flight session
  • Select the Gauge Profile to switch
  • Press [Confirm], the selected gauges will be activated immediately.

Other new features and changes coming with the new version are: Continue reading

361: GaugeSwitcher Update

During my recent system recovery, many trivial issues found on my computer before the crash are also fixed.  That’s a good thing.  But unfortunately, there are new little issues coming up that didn’t exist before.

For example, I used to leave my Switch Panel, Radio Panel and Multi-Panel with power-on all the time, so that whenever I start the simulator, they could be put in operation immediately.   But now, I have to load the simulator first and then plug in the USB hub on which the Panels are connected.  Otherwise, the display on the Multi-Panel won’t turn on.  Fix is yet to come.

Another issue is also Saitek related. Continue reading

336: GaugeCreator Update

The GaugeCreator that comes with the GaugeSwitcher utility is updated with some bugs fixed.   Existing users could use the same download link to get the new version.

After unzip, just replace your existing one with the new one.   That will do.

News: The GaugeSwitcher is Sent

GaugeSwitcher01AThe GaugeSwitcher is completed.    It’s been sent to all users who purchased any full-set of my paid gauges.   Some might have multiple email notifications in their mailboxes if they own more than one type of my gauges.
