828: Heading Bug Issue on Just Flight Arrows

Two days ago, Brian in the US reported to me that the “Heading Bug” on the HSI gauge developed for Just Flight’s Arrow III, Turbo Arrow III and Arrow IV is malfunctioning.

The “Heading Bug” doesn’t change accordingly when the “Heading Bug Knob” is turned. It only works when the autopilot is engaged with a flight plan and an activated approach. If the flight plan or the approach is removed, the “Heading Bug” will stop working instantly. The faulty situation applies to the HDG gauge as well.

I then checked and confirmed the case is valid, but Continue reading

802: GPS/VLOC Toggles Crazily

A user of my G5 gauges, Elliott in Canada, recently reported to me that the CDI on the G5 gauge was rapidly toggling between GPS and VLOC after the recent AAU1 (Aircraft & Avionics 1 or 1.30.12.0) update.

After further investigation, the issue is confirmed to be caused by the incompatibility between the Working Title Garmin GNS 430/530 addon and the Just Flight PA28 Arrow series — Arrow III, Turbo Arrow III and Tubro Arrow IV.

Other aircraft, default and 3rd party, so far tested, including the Just Flight PA28-161 Warrior II, are not affected.

Temporarily, users could Continue reading

746: Landing Gear, Landing Gear

Have been revising many of my gauges lately.  Here’s another two of them which now come with enhanced landing gear indicators.

The first is the RPM of the Just Flight PA28R Arrow III and Turbo III/IV.  The new landing gear indicators on the left now take the comprehensive Gear Unsafe & Gear N-L-R style from the aircraft, rather than the simple one used on the right in the last version released in September, which took from the M20R.

The landing gear indicators on the Carenado M20R Engine Cluster also updated to simulate the up-down movements of the indicators on the aircraft as well.

731: MSFS PA28R-161 Warrior II Gauges

The FIP Gauges for Just Flight’s MSFS PA28-161 Warrior II have been released.

Compared to the company’s earlier Arrow III and Arrow III-IV Turbo, the ASI, ATT and Engine Gauges for the Warrior II are largely different; the ADF, VOR1, VOR2 and RPM are slightly varied; and the ALT, HDG, HSI, TCR and VSI are identical. MSFS_PA28-161_Z_BUNDLE_JPG

693: Gauges for PA28R Turbo III/IV Scheduled

Just flew about an hour with Just Flight’s newly released PA28R Turbo Arrow III/IV with my Arrow III gauges.

Besides the ASI, RPM and MFP, all remaining gauges in the current Arrow III series are good for the two new brothers as well.

That’s good.  I will schedule to work on those three gauges for the two aircraft.   And for those who already owned the Arrow III gauges, there will be discounts when the three gauges are ready.

683: JF-PA28 VOR2 Left-deflection Fix

Have you ever noticed when the Just Flight PA28 Arrow III for MSFS is loaded with engine JF-PA28-VOR2-Needlerunning (meaning the aircraft isn’t started from cold and dark), its VOR2 needle is always deflected to the left?

It’s a bug, I believe, since the needle won’t return to center when no NAV signals are present.

To correct this error, we’ll have to flip Continue reading
