874: Stream Deck Profiles for FS2020 & FS2024

Despite the differences between FS2020 and FS2024, I am currently using the same profile set of my Stream Deck XL for both simulators.

From the Stream Deck profiles I was describing in Post 846, I set to load a home page called MSFS_INFO_C172 automatically when FS2020 is run.

In order to load the same profile set for FS2024, what I did was to duplicate the same home page and rename it as MSFS_INFO_C172_FS2024, and then assoicate the new page with FlightSimulator2024.exe.
Now, Continue reading

853: Two BKSQ Analog Baron Gauges Released

Developer Black Square has made over some analog gauges for MSFS aircraft using glass cockpit panels.  One of them is the widely flown Beechcraft B58.

MSFS_B58-BKSQ_ASI_GIFSActually I was not aware of it at all until a friend, Andrea, in Italy who asked me if I could make the FIP gauges for it about a month ago.  And he was so kind to sponsor me the aircraft for checking before I could confirm him if the project was feasible.

So here’s the Airspeed Indicator (ASI) and the Engine Pack tailor-made for the Black Square Analog Baron.

And in particular, as the Black Square Baron comes with both a standard and a pressurized version of the aircraft, corresponding FIP gauges Continue reading

852: BKSQ Duke Shared Altimeter Released

Hybrid-style instruments are always my favoritesMSFS_B60_DukeSHR_ALT_GIFS as they not only look nicer but also provide more references.  The new Altimeter for the Black Square (BKSQ) Dukes is one of them, which, in fact, is not only good for the B60 Piston, Grand and Turbine Dukes, but also can be used on all other MSFS aircraft.

Two versions were created for the instrument.  The Clean Version on the left Continue reading

851: BKSQ Duke Piston Gauges Released

The Engine Clusters for the Black Square (BKSQ) Duke Piston B60 and B60 Grand are now completed.  The package not only includes the Manifold Pressure, RPM, Fuel Flow, Oil Pressure, Oil Temperature and Cylinder Temperature Gauges in full format,

but it also comes with an Extended OTP version that integrates the left and right OTPs plus the Fuel Quantity Indicators for either the B60 or B60 Grand together.
MSFS_B60_DukePT_ENG_Extended1Low Fuel Indicators, resembling the ones on the Duke Turbine, are also implemented. Continue reading

850: BKSQ Duke Turbine Engine Released

Originally I was planning to work on the Pilatus PC12 RMI after the aircraft’s EIS (Engine Indicator System) project.  However, since I’ve been playing the Black Square (BKSQ) Duke Turbine quite a lot, I decided to get the aircraft’s Engine Cluster completed first.

849: Pilatus PC12 EIS Released

Last week, I said I could finish the EIS project for the Carenado’s MSFS Pilatus PC12 by weekend.  Things happened unexpectedly.  Anyway, it’s now ready.

One thing worth noting: due to hardware and software limitations, the way how Carenado implements the ITT function on the PC12 is virtually impossible to be ported to the FIP directly.  This causes misalignments between the values sent to the FIP and the ones shown on the virtual EIS.

Although the bug is unsolvable, the way the ITT performs, luckily, Continue reading

848: Pilatus PC12 EIS Preview

Here’s a video preview of the coming Engine Indication System (EIS) for the Carenado Pilatus PC12.  There are still loose ends to tie up but hopefully it will be released in the next few days.

847: Pilatus PC12 Gauges Updated

The three Carenado Pilatus PC12 gauges have been updated to version R1r01, in which bug fixes and number precision enhancements were implemented.

846: My Stream Deck XL Profiles

Last June in my Post 774, when I talked about the Elgato Stream Deck XL in my DIY cockpit,  I mentioned that I would share my profiles when they are properly-tuned.  Pardon me, I completely forgot about it until a friend, Nick, who recently asked me for a copy of it. MyStreamDeckXLS
So, here is what this Post is all about and the download link is included for those who are interested to play mine. Continue reading
