480: G5 PFD Attitude Indicator Update

A friend, Christian, recently told me that he was confused by the movement of the attitude indicator arc and triangle above it on the Generic G5 PFD.   He asked if it is possible to modify the attitude indicator like the real Garmin G5 does as shown in the image on the right below, so that the arc and the triangle above it move with the horizon and have the lower triangle stay in relation to the plane.
I fully understand his frustration as I sometimes got confused as well.

463: B737 PFD Released

The B737 PFD has just been released.   It is so far the most complicated FIP gauge I’ve ever made, even with the experience I had from the Garmin G5 PFD.

Those who purchased it should have the download link in their mailboxes by now.  For the MFD and EICAS I showed in the previous post, they should be ready in the next few days.   Continue reading

454: Generic G5 PFD Update

Since the many versions coming with the Generic G5 PFD look so similar to each other, even myself I find it hard to tell from which is which.

To make things easier, the updated version of the gauge now displays the corresponding aircraft model that the PFD is intended for when the battery is off.

415: Primary Flight Display (PFD) Released

The generic Garmin G5 style PFD has been completed.   As mentioned earlier, this is by far the most complicated gauges I made for the FIP, particularly in terms of layout implementations.

For example, just the vertical speed indicator alone (on the edge of the right hand side) took me nearly a week to get to a satisfied result, which allows it to adapt to various vertical speed requirements up to +/- 9,900 feet.
