620: My MSFS Update 5

Finally I got MSFS downloaded successfully today.

Probably the issue I encountered were fixed by the recent update since the installation steps I carried out are the same.   Anyway, glad to have it installed eventually.

BTW, Alexey has uploaded his 3D model files for his Saitek Pro Flight Yoke modification.  People requesting the files could find the link in his Post 586.

  1. Dear Tom,
Very happy to hear that you resolved it! Unfortunately although I also updated MSFS, still looping at download session. I contacted MS for a refund, and they refuse it.
So, can I kindly ask you to summarize your step by step action to complete the download, once again? Wifi? Cable? Harddrive selection? Same/Different?
    Thanks for your usual help
    Regards,

    1. Hi Emre,
Sorry to hear about you’re still stuck at the download session. I know it’s quite frustrating.
Frankly, I did nothing to my hardware nor software after I refunded MFSF a month ago.
I just run the app and choose drive F: (with over 200GB) on my computer this morning. Then it installed. The steps as mentioned in my post are the same. Nothing special.
One suggestion though, you could try getting the Game Pass and see if you can install the App on it, rather than the download version you purchase.
Just a thought and hope that helps.

  2. Congratulations, Tom! After my own share of installation issues I am really enjoying MSFS. This begs the question, are you goint to provide gauges for the MSFS-specific planes? Your C172, C152, and R400 gauges are working fine for me (under SPAD.neXt, as you mentioned in another thread), but in view of the host of interesting GA planes there’s certainly room for more.

    1. Thanks very much Michael.
Yes, definitely will make gauges specifically for MFSF. Although the ones (such as the C172 ASI, VOR and RPM gauges) for FSX/P3D function properly under SPAD.neXt, they are different in layout and parameter limits.
The three I mentioned probably will come very soon. Then other will follow.
